  • Relaxation asanas and techniques
  • Forward, backward & side bends standing-focusing on flexibility

  • Asanas for abdomen, core & back- focusing on flexibility and strength
  • Asanas opening hips and shoulders, spinal twist
  • Asanas for strength and balance
  • Dynamic movements in Hatha asanas

  • Ashtanga yoga guru mantra

D. ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY     20 Hrs

  • Orientation of whole human body- cells, tissues, neurons, and communication
  • Support and movement- muscles and joints, tendons and fascia, ligaments and cartilages
  • Hormonal and immune system
  • Kinesiology- planes of movement, agonist-antagonist relationships
  • Hip, shoulder, and neck movement, and kinesiology
  • Synergistic muscular action
  • Alignment and safety in movement
  • Concept of yogic body and composition- Nadi, chakras, pranas, koshas, dhatus, doshas, gunas

E. YOGA PHILOSOPHY     30 Hrs

  • Origin of yoga and its history
  • Meaning of yoga and its methods
  • Yoga in eastern philosophy (Ved, Upanishads, Geeta)
  • Hatha yoga and roots
  • The concept of patanjali yoga sutra
  • The philosophy of Pragya yoga

F. MUDRAS AND BANDHAS     10 Hrs

  • Tri bandhas and maha bandha
  • Hand (hasta mudras)
  • Face mudras
  • Body posture mudras

G. GROUP DISCUSSION     10 Hrs

  • Application of yoga and its practical aspects in daily life
  • Personality refinement through yoga

H. TEACHING METHODOLOGY 15     Hrs

  • How to instruct and effective communication skills
  • Observing practitioners and instructing

I. HOMEWORK, ASSIGNMENT AND SELF STUDY     50 Hrs


  1. Topics A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H constitutes total practical, instructional, and technical hours of 150.
  2. Topics mentioned in point 1 constitutes a total of 25 days, 21 practice days, 3 off days and 1 exam day, and graduation day.
  3. Topics mentioned in point 1 are divided into 3 major categories for 3 weeks.
  • Facing and teaching the drill
  • Sequential instructions and flow techniques
  • Intermediate and integrated instructional techniques Handling emergency and summary

 

Course Schedule

Topics mentioned in point 1 are divided into two major classes (shifts) in a day and a breakdown of the time frame has been made. For example:

Morning Session 2.5 hours (Break Down)

  • Mantra and the art of silence 15 minutes
  • Asana and relaxation 90 minutes
  • Pranayama, Mudra, and Bandha 45 minutes

Evening Session 2 hours (Break Down)

  • Asana 75 minutes
  • Relaxation 15 minutes
  • Meditation 30 minutes

These both shifts cover the total of core practical yoga techniques along with other yoga practical techniques.

Total classes of Mantra will be practiced into both shifts depending upon the type of practice.

Meditation and The art of silence will be interchangeable in the shifts depending on the schedule.

 

1. Facing and teaching the drill (first week)

  • 1st day: Orientation of the specified classes
  • 2nd day: Micro asana, dynamic movements (morning), standing asana, forward, backward and lateral bends (evening)
  • 3rd day: Antirheumatic 1 and 2 (Morning), Sun Salutation, Moon Salutation (Evening)
  • 4th day: Antirheumatic 2 and 3 (Morning), Asana for abdomen, core, and back focusing on flexibility and strength (Evening)
  • 5th day: Anti Rheumatic 3, Sun Salutation (Morning), Dynamic Movements, Asana for strength and Balance (Evening)
  • 6th day: Sun Salutation, sitting asana, bending, spinal twists (morning), Moon Salutation, Asana for opening hips and shoulders, spinal twists (evening)
  • 7th day: Break

2. Sequential instruction and flow techniques

  • 8th day: Sequencing Hatha asana I and relaxation (morning), Pragya Yoga Asana (Evening)
  • 9th day: Sequencing Hatha asana II and Relaxation (morning), Pragya Yoga Asana (Evening)
  • 10th day: Sequencing Hatha asana III and Relaxation (morning), Ashtanga Vinyasa Sun Salutation A (Evening)
  • 11th day: Sequencing Hatha asana repeat I and relaxation (morning), AV sun Salutation B (Evening)
  • 12th day: Sequencing Hatha asana repeat II and relaxation (morning), AV sun Salutation A and B (Evening)
  • 13th day: Sequencing Hatha asana repeat III and relaxation (morning), AV Sun Salutation A and B (evening)
  • 14th day: Break

3. Intermediate and integrated instructional techniques

  • 15th day: Intermediate and inverted asana (morning), AV primary series introduction (evening)
  • 16th day: Inverted and headstands, handstands (morning), AV primary series (evening)
  • 17th day: Asana with chakra contemplation (morning), AV primary series (evening)
  • 18th day: Asana with chakra contemplation (morning), AV primary series (evening)
  • 19th day: Teaching Methodology Hatha (morning), Teaching methodology AV (evening)
  • 20th day: Teaching Methodology Hatha (morning), Teaching Methodology AV (evening)
  • 21st day: Break

4. Handling Emergency and Summary

  • 22nd day: Teaching Methodology Hatha (morning), Teaching Methodology AV (evening)
  • 23rd day: Summary (morning), Summary (evening), Submission of Assignments and Homework
  • 24th day: Exam and Graduation
  • 25th day: Farewell

Classes of Yoga Philosophy, Group Discussion, and Anatomy and Physiology will run during the daytime.

On the 3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 21st day Teaching practical and workshop will be conducted.

On 4th, 9th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 23rd, and 24th-day GD, Meeting, and Business plans will be conducted.

The ordinary schedule of the day for classes will be as follows:

  • 6 30 am to 9 am- Morning Practical
  • 11 am to 12 pm – Anatomy and Physiology
  • 12 pm to 1 pm- Group Discussion, Teaching practical and workshop, Business plan, etc. alternate days
  • 3 pm to 4 30 pm- Yoga Philosophy
  • 4 30 pm to 6 30 pm- Evening Practical

The timetable is subject to gentle modifications, offering room for subtle adjustments in response to evolving circumstances.
